Fibreglass (GRP) Flat Roofing
Seamless, watertight flat roofs built to last 25+ years. Fibreglass is the roof Jason recommends most — and one of the jobs he does best — across Littlehampton, Worthing and West Sussex.
The Best Flat Roof You Can Fit

Strong enough to walk on — ideal for balconies, terraces and dormer roofs.
Completely watertight
Moulded to your roof's exact shape — around upstands, edges and roof lights.
Virtually maintenance-free
Nothing to re-coat or replace — just clear debris and gutters now and then.
UV & weather resistant
Won't crack or go brittle in the sun the way felt roofs do over time.

In ProgressA GRP Roof Is Only As Good As the Day It's Laid
This is where a lot of fibreglass roofs go wrong. We use the correct decking board, make sure it's dry and well fixed, fully wet out the matting with no dry patches or trapped air, and never lay in conditions too cold or damp for the resin to cure. That care is the difference between a roof that lasts decades and one that fails within a couple of years.
Repairs, Leaks & Re-Roofs
As well as new fibreglass roofs, we handle flat roof repairs, re-seals, flashing and upstand work, and emergency leak fixing across West Sussex. Not sure whether yours needs repairing or replacing? We'll give you an honest assessment and a free quote. Want the full detail? Read our fibreglass roofing guide →
Fibreglass Roofing Questions
How long does a fibreglass roof last?
A properly installed GRP roof comes with a 20–25 year guarantee and often lasts longer with minimal maintenance — typically twice the life of a felt roof.
Can you walk on a fibreglass roof?
Yes. GRP is strong and walkable, which makes it ideal for balconies, terraces and dormers. We can add a non-slip finish where it's needed.
Is fibreglass better than felt?
For most flat roofs, yes. Felt has joins and laps that fail and goes brittle with UV; GRP is one seamless, bonded skin that resists UV, foot traffic and ponding water far better.
How long does it take to install?
Most domestic flat roofs are completed in one to three days depending on size and weather — GRP needs dry conditions above around 5°C to cure properly, so we plan around the forecast.
How much does a fibreglass roof cost?
It costs a little more than felt upfront, but works out cheaper over the life of the roof given it lasts twice as long with no maintenance. We give free, no-obligation quotes.
